England's Economic Heartland has a key role in supporting the capacity and capability of our partners. We collaborate with our local and combined authority partners through our Centre of Excellence – focused on enhancing the skills, knowledge and capabilities needed to deliver local and combined authority transport planning and strategy functions. A core part of this is information provision through tools and data. This catalogue provides details of the tools and datasets developed by EEH, freely available to our local and combined authority partners, as well as links to other helpful tools, data and resources owned by external agencies.
The EEH Business Unit is always pleased to speak with partners to explore where we can help you, including specialist support from our data and analytics team.We also provide access to tools and welcome the opportunity to support you to maximise their usage. We are always looking for suggestions of useful datasets to include in our regional evidence base. Please send your requests and suggestions to us via our EEH mailbox
The Cadence mapping tool is a distributed web-based GIS platform. It's incredibly powerful, offering over 1,300 map overlays. These overlays cover a wide range of data, including population, housing growth, employment rates, and railway statistics, amongst many others.
Each overlay is highly customisable, allowing users to tailor the data presentation to their specific needs and preferences. This flexibility makes it an invaluable resource for detailed analysis, visual presentation & decision-makingThe core datasets are managed by City Science who regularly develop and update it – whilst EEH augment this with a range of bespoke data that provides further detail to authorities and partners.
